  1. As the first hints of dawn arrived unnannounced someone told
  2. me that Saturn had just risen. In near unison all of the telescopes in
  3. the field were crisply aimed towards the East looking
  4. across the valley. Naturally I went to one of the biggest, and
  5. getting my turn I stood on my toes to peer into the lens. What
  6. had looked like yet another modest star now became a world.
  7. And Galileo's "ears" finally came to life, for dancing
  8. in the cool morning air where the breathless rings of Saturn.
  9. Like the first kiss, one never forgets the first time they
  10. see Saturn, especially when they're 11.
