- As the first hints of dawn arrived unnannounced someone told
- me that Saturn had just risen. In near unison all of the telescopes in
- the field were crisply aimed towards the East looking
- across the valley. Naturally I went to one of the biggest, and
- getting my turn I stood on my toes to peer into the lens. What
- had looked like yet another modest star now became a world.
- And Galileo's "ears" finally came to life, for dancing
- in the cool morning air where the breathless rings of Saturn.
- Like the first kiss, one never forgets the first time they
- see Saturn, especially when they're 11.
